ॐ शंखाय नमः । शंखं देवतासंघनं ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवात्मकम् । सर्वपापहरं दिव्यं शंखं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥
Transliteration
Om shankhaya namah. Shankham devatasanghanam brahmavishnushivatmakam. Sarvapapaharam divyam shankham pranamamyaham.
Meaning / Translation
Om, salutations to the Shankha. The conch is the embodiment of the assembly of deities, the combined form of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. It is divine and removes all sins; I bow to the sacred conch.

समुद्रमन्थने जातं शंखं रत्नसमुद्भवम् । लक्ष्मीसहितं विष्णोः करे शोभयते सदा ॥
Transliteration
Samudramanthane jatam shankham ratnasamudbhavam. Lakshmisahitam vishnoh kare shobhayate sada.
Meaning / Translation
Born from the churning of the ocean, the conch emerged as a jewel. Ever adorned with Lakshmi, it shines eternally in the hand of Lord Vishnu.

Transliteration
Panchajanyam mahashankham vishnoh shankham sanatanam. Dhvanya sarvabhayam nashayatyajnanandhakarakam.
Meaning / Translation
The great conch Panchajanya is the eternal conch of Vishnu. Its sound destroys all fears and dispels the darkness of ignorance.

Transliteration
Pujakale shankhadhvanih pratah sayam ca yojanam. Archane'rcitadevasya shankhasnanena shuddhaye.
Meaning / Translation
During worship, the sounding of the conch is prescribed morning and evening. For the purification of the worshipped deity, the conch is used for ritual bathing.
