Shri guru charan saroj raj, nij man mukur sudhari, Baranau raghuvar vimal jasu, jo dayaku anugrah sari.

Meaning: I clean my mirror-like mind with the dust of the lotus feet of my Guru, and describe the pure glory of Raghupati, which bestows the greatest favor.

Verse 2

बुद्धिहीन तनु जानike सुमिरौ पवन कुमार। बल बुधि बिद्या देहु मोहिं हरahu क्लेश काल॥

Buddhiheen tanu janike, sumirau pavan kumar, Bal budhi vidya dehu mohin, harahu klesh kaal.

Meaning: Considering myself to be ignorant, I remember the son of the wind (Hanuman), and ask for strength, intelligence, and knowledge, and to remove my sufferings.

Verse 3

नाशौ जाति व्रiddhi विनाश दारिद्र दुख दैन्य। जाति क्रिधि कामादि मोहु दाहु तात जन्म संसार॥

Nashau jati vridhi vinash, daridr dukh dainya, Jati kriddhi kamadi mohu, dahhu tat janma sansar.

Meaning: The cycle of birth, growth, and decay, and the suffering of poverty and misery, as well as the bondage of lust and other passions, are all burned away by the fire of the birth of the devotee.

Verse 4

अंकुश कूंजर कंकण कंकु किरीट कुंडल तेju। श्री रघुपति भक्त मिटै संकट सब संसय असंju॥

Ankush kunjar kankan, kanku kirita kundal teju, Shri raghupati bhakt mitai, sankat sab sansay asanju.

Meaning: The goad, elephant, and armlet, the Kanku and the diadem, all shine brightly, and the devotee of Raghupati is freed from all difficulties and doubts.

Verse 5

राम रूप रामष्टक राम नाम गरीब को जाप। तुलसी दास स्वामी भजै प्रेम पियूष द्रष्टि दाप॥

Ram rup ramashtak, ram nam garib ko jap, Tulsi das swami bhajai, prem piyush drashti dap.

Meaning: The form of Rama, the eight verses of Rama, and the name of Rama, are all recited by the poor, and Tulsidas, the servant of the Lord, sings with love, and is filled with the nectar of the Lord's glance.

Verse 6

सब सुख संसार त्यागी रामकाज लगि कारि। जाति जोगी जुगti जेते रामकृत रघुनायक हारि॥

Sab sukh sansar tyagi, ramkaj lagi kari, Jati jogi jugti jete, ramkrit raghunayak hari.

Meaning: Leaving behind all worldly pleasures, and engaging in the work of Rama, the yogi, the ascetic, and the one who has controlled his senses, all attain the favor of Rama, the Lord of the Raghus.

Verse 7

भावत बहुत बिधि सेल्हि सो मारि मारि गिरावै। जेहि जेहि पर कृपालु ह्वै जेहि जेहि दै देहु दावै॥

Bhavat bahut vidhi selhi, so mari mari girav, Jehi jehi par kripalu hwai, jehi jehi dai dehu davai.

Meaning: The Lord, in His various forms, is worshiped in many ways, and He, the compassionate one, gives and takes away, according to His will.

Verse 8

अष्टसिद्धि नौ निधि कै दाता अस वर दै सुखी करै। तुलसी दास स्वामि भजै प्रेम पियूष द्रष्टि दापै॥

Ashtasiddhi nau nidhi kai data, as var dai sukh kar, Tulsi das swami bhajai, prem piyush drashti dapai.

Meaning: The Lord, the giver of the eight siddhis and the nine treasures, bestows happiness, and Tulsidas, the servant of the Lord, sings with love, and is filled with the nectar of the Lord's glance.
