गङ्गा नमस्तेऽस्तु भद्रकाली नमोऽस्तु ते।<br>निर्मलां पावनं पुण्यं गङ्गां प्रणम्य भक्तितः॥
Transliteration
Gaṅgā namaste'stu bhadrakālī namo'stu te.<br>Nirmalāṃ pāvanaṃ puṇyaṃ gaṅgāṃ praṇamya bhaktitaḥ.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to Ganga, salutations to you, O Bhadrakali. I bow with devotion to the pure, the purifying, and the holy Ganga.
Stanza 1 (The Divine Descent)

शिवशिरोऽधः प्रवहन्ती स्वर्गपुत्री जगद्धिता।<br>पापनाशिनी सर्वभयप्रणाशिनी गङ्गामम॥
Transliteration
Śivaśiro'dhaḥ pravahantī svargaputrī jagaddhitā.<br>Pāpanāśinī sarvabhayapraṇāśinī gaṅgāmam.
Meaning / Translation
Flowing from the locks of Lord Shiva, the daughter of heaven, who works for the welfare of the world; O Mother Ganga, the destroyer of sins and the dispeller of all fears.
Stanza 2 (Purity and Salvation)

अविरलप्रवाहिणी सर्वपापप्रणाशिनी।<br>मोक्षदायिनी दिव्यपुण्या गङ्गा देवि नमोऽस्तु ते॥
Transliteration
Aviralapravāhiṇī sarvapāpapraṇāśinī.<br>Mokṣadāyinī divyapuṇyā gaṅgā devi namo'stu te.
Meaning / Translation
The one who flows continuously, the destroyer of all sins; the giver of liberation and the one of divine merit, O Goddess Ganga, salutations to you.
Stanza 3 (Devotion and Protection)

भक्तवत्सला भक्तानां दुःखनाशिनी सदा।<br>शरणगतार्तप्रणाशिनी गङ्गामम नमाम्यहम्॥
Transliteration
Bhaktavatsalā bhaktānāṃ duḥkhanāśinī sadā.<br>Śaraṇagatārtapraṇāśinī gaṅgāmam namāmyaham.
Meaning / Translation
The lover of devotees, the eternal destroyer of their sorrows; the protector of those who seek refuge from misery, O Mother Ganga, I bow to you.

गङ्गाष्टकम् पठेन्नित्यं यः पठेत् स सुखी भवेत्।<br>पापमुक्तो भवेत् लोके गङ्गायाः प्रसादात्॥
Transliteration
Gaṅgāṣṭakam paṭhennityaṃ yaḥ paṭhet sa sukhī bhavet.<br>Pāpamukto bhavet loke gaṅgāyāḥ prasādāt.
Meaning / Translation
He who recites this Ganga Stuti daily will attain happiness. By the grace of Ganga, he will be liberated from all sins in this world.
