Chattarpur Temple is a major centre of Devi worship in the capital, dedicated to Katyayani, the warrior form of Durga worshipped especially on the sixth day of Navratri. Its vast scale and architectural richness make it a landmark of modern temple-building. The Navratri celebrations here are among the most important in Delhi. Devotees seek the goddess's blessings for strength, protection and prosperity.

The Shri Adya Katyayani Shakti Peeth Mandir, popularly known as Chattarpur Temple, was founded by Sant Shri Nagpal Baba in 1974 and has grown into a sprawling complex of numerous shrines built in exquisite North and South Indian styles, largely in white marble. The main deity, Goddess Katyayani, is worshipped in an ornate sanctum, and the complex also honours Shiva, Radha-Krishna and other deities amid gardens and grand gateways. During Navratri, the temple becomes one of Delhi's grandest and most crowded places of worship, glowing with lights and thronged with devotees. It is also a popular venue for spiritual retreat and ceremonies.
