हिरण्यकशिपु का था अत्याचार, प्रह्लाद की भक्ति थी अपार। नाम जपते प्रभु का वह बच्चा, अधर्म के साये में भी सच्चा।
Transliteration
Hiranyakashipu ka tha atyachar, Prahlad ki bhakti thi apaar. Naam japte Prabhu ka vah baccha, adharm ke saaye mein bhi saccha.
Meaning / Translation
Hiranyakashipu practiced tyranny, while Prahlad's devotion was boundless. That child kept chanting the Lord's name, remaining truthful even in the shadow of unrighteousness.
The Burning of Holika

होलिका चढ़ी अग्नि की ज्वाला, पर विष्णु ने प्रह्लाद को संभाला। अहंकार का अंत हुआ भारी, धर्म की हुई फिर जीत न्यारी।
Transliteration
Holika chadhi agni ki jwala, par Vishnu ne Prahlad ko sambhala. Ahankar ka ant hua bhaari, dharma ki hui phir jeet nyaari.
Meaning / Translation
Holika entered the flames of fire, but Vishnu protected Prahlad. The end of ego was massive, and once again, a unique victory of righteousness was achieved.

रंगों की बौछार है आई, होली की खुशियाँ हैं छाई। गुलाल उड़े और मिटे द्वेष, प्रेम की बढ़े जग में देश।
Transliteration
Rangon ki bauchaar hai aayi, Holi ki khushiyan hain chhayi. Gulaal ude aur mite dwesh, prem ki badhe jag mein desh.
Meaning / Translation
A shower of colors has arrived, and the joys of Holi have spread. Gulal flies and hatred vanishes, as love expands throughout the world.
