Verse 1

ग्रहाणां ग्रहनाथः सूर्यः, सोमो ग्रहाणां ग्रहपतिः। बुधश्च ग्रहाणां ग्रहभावः, शुक्रः सूर्यस्य रश्मिभावः।
Transliteration
Grahāṇāṁ grahanāthaḥ sūryaḥ, somo grahāṇāṁ grahapatih. Budhaśca grahāṇāṁ grahabhāvaḥ, śukraḥ sūryasya raśmibhāvaḥ.
Meaning / Translation
Among the planets, the Sun is the king, the Moon is the lord of the planets. Mercury is the prince of the planets, and Venus is related to the Sun's rays.
Verse 2

मंगलः सेनापतिर्देवः, बृहस्पतिर्ब्राह्मणो गुरुः। शनिश्च कर्मफलप्रदः, राहुः पातालनिवासी।
Transliteration
Maṅgalaḥ senāpatirdevaḥ, bṛhaspatirbrāhmaṇo guruḥ. Śaniśca karmaphalapradhaḥ, rāhuḥ pātālanivāsī.
Meaning / Translation
Mars is the commander of the divine army, Jupiter is the Brahmin and the guru. Saturn gives the fruits of actions, and Rahu resides in the underworld.
Verse 3

केतुश्च दिशि दानवः, नवग्रहसमावेशः। ग्रहाणां ग्रहनाथेन, सूर्येन पूजयेद् ग्रहान्।
Transliteration
Ketuśca diśi dānavaḥ, navagrahasamāveśaḥ. Grahāṇāṁ grahanāthena, sūryena pūjayed grahān.
Meaning / Translation
Ketu is the demon in the direction, and the nine planets together. The planets should be worshipped by the king of the planets, the Sun.

सूर्यस्य रश्मिभिस्त्विषा, भास्करस्य महात्मनः। ग्रहाणां पूजनं यस्तु, करोति स शुभं लभेत।
Transliteration
Sūryasya raśmibhistviṣā, bhāskarasya mahātmanaḥ. Grahāṇāṁ pūjanaṁ yastu, karoti sa śubhaṁ labhet.
Meaning / Translation
By the radiance of the great Sun's rays, one who worships the planets, attains auspiciousness.
