अमावस्या की रात है आई, छाई है काली छाया। चंद्रमा भी लुप्त हुआ है, अंधकार का साम्राज्य है आया।
Transliteration
Amavasya ki raat hai aayi, chhayi hai kaali chhaya. Chandrama bhi lupt hua hai, andhkar ka samrajya hai aaya.
Meaning / Translation
The night of Amavasya has arrived, and a dark shadow has spread. Even the moon has vanished, as the empire of darkness has descended.
Stanza 2: Invocation of Ancestors (Pitru)

पितृ देव को नमन करें हम, श्रद्धा का दीप जलाएं। पूर्वजों के आशीर्वाद से, जीवन को खुशहाल बनाएं।
Transliteration
Pitru Dev ko naman karein hum, shraddha ka deep jalayein. Purvajo ke aashirwad se, jeevan ko khushhaal banayein.
Meaning / Translation
Let us bow to the Ancestral Deities and light the lamp of faith. Through the blessings of our forefathers, let us make our lives prosperous.
Stanza 3: Protection from the Dark

महाकाल की शरण में आएं, अंधकार को दूर भगाएं। काली माँ की शक्ति से, मन का भय मिटाएं।
Transliteration
Mahakaal ki sharan mein aayein, andhkar ko door bhagayein. Kaali Maa ki shakti se, man ka bhay mitayein.
Meaning / Translation
Let us seek refuge in Mahakaal to drive away the darkness. By the power of Mother Kali, let us destroy the fears within our minds.
Stanza 4: Prayer for Liberation

शांति मिले, मुक्ति मिले, अंतर्मन को ज्ञान मिले। अमावस्या के पावन पर्व पर, सकल जग को कल्याण मिले।
Transliteration
Shanti mile, mukti mile, antarmann ko gyan mile. Amavasya ke paavan parv par, sakal jag ko kalyan mile.
Meaning / Translation
May we find peace, may we find liberation, and may the inner soul attain wisdom. On this holy occasion of Amavasya, may the entire world attain well-being.
