दधिशङ्खतुषाराभं क्षीरोदार्णवसंभवम्। नमामि शशिनं देवं सोमं चान्द्रं नमाम्यहम्॥
Transliteration
Dadhi-shankha-tusharabham kshirodarana-sambhavam | Namami shashinam devam somam chandram namamyaham ||
Meaning / Translation
I bow to the Moon deity, who is as white as curd, a conch shell, and snow, who has emerged from the ocean of milk. I bow to the moon, the lord of Soma.

Transliteration
Shashankam shekharam devam saumyam chandram namamyaham | Manah shanti pradayakam sarva dukha vinashanam || Shvetavarnam prabhakaram sheetalam rupam manmoham | Chandra darshanam punyam manasik dukha nashanam ||
Meaning / Translation
I bow to the gentle Moon, who bears the crescent mark, the giver of mental peace and the destroyer of all sorrows. I bow to the white-hued, radiant, and cool-looking Moon, whose sight is meritorious and which destroys mental distress.
