Chandrama man ka karak hai. Vah sheetalta, saundarya aur mansik shanti ka prateek hai. Soma roop mein vah amrit pradan karne wala hai.
Meaning / Translation
The Moon is the ruler of the mind. He is the symbol of coolness, beauty, and mental peace. In his form as Soma, he is the provider of nectar (Amrit).

I bow to the Moon God, who is as white as curd, conch, and snow, and who has emerged from the ocean of milk; I salute the radiant Moon, the lord of light.

पूर्णिमा के दिन चंद्र देव की पूजा करना अत्यंत शुभ होता है। सफेद वस्त्र धारण कर, चांदी के पात्र में दूध और अक्षत अर्पित करने से मानसिक शांति और आरोग्य की प्राप्ति होती है।
Transliteration
Purnima ke din Chandra deva ki pooja karna atyant shubh hota hai. Safed vastra dharan kar, chandi ke patra mein doodh aur akshat arpit karne se mansik shanti aur arogya ki prapti hoti hai.
Meaning / Translation
Worshipping the Moon God on the Full Moon day (Purnima) is extremely auspicious. By wearing white clothes and offering milk and rice in a silver vessel, one attains mental peace and good health.
