ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय। श्रीमन नारायणाय नमः॥ शान्ताकारं भुजंगशयनं पद्मनाभं सुरेशं विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम्।
Transliteration
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya. Shriman Narayanaya Namah. Shantakaram Bhujanga Shayanam Padmanabham Sureshalam Vishvadharam Gaganasadrisham Meghavarnam Shubhangam.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to the Lord who resides in all. Salutations to Lord Narayana. I bow to the Lord who has a peaceful appearance, who rests on the serpent, from whose navel comes the lotus, who is the Lord of all gods, the support of the universe, all-pervading like the sky, and whose complexion is like a dark cloud.

एकादशी व्रत महिमा अति पावन, विष्णु प्रिय यह व्रत है पावन। जो भी इसका व्रत विधि से करता, पापों से वह मुक्ति को पाता॥
Transliteration
Ekadashi vrat mahima ati paavan, Vishnu priya yeh vrat hai paavan. Jo bhi iska vrat vidhi se karta, Paapon se woh mukti ko paata.
Meaning / Translation
The glory of the Ekadashi fast is extremely holy; this fast is deeply beloved by Lord Vishnu. Whoever performs this fast according to the prescribed Vedic rituals, attains liberation from all their accumulated sins.

Katha suno is vrat ki bhaari, Jo jan sune shaanti de pyaari. Padma Purana ki mahima nyaari, Vishnu bhakti mein doobi saari.

Ekadashi vrat jo bhi dhyata, Janm janm ke paap mitaata. Lakshmi ka us par sada nivaas, Purna ho uski har ek aas.
