Meaning / Translation
Om, O Bharati, Giver of Knowledge, She who is delighted in notes and bestows melody. The Gandharvaveda is divine knowledge, the supreme celebration of the science of music.

नटराज स्वरूपाय शिव, नादब्रह्म स्वरूपाय नमः। डमरू नाद से सृजन हुआ, लय और ताल का संगम हुआ॥
Transliteration
Nataraja Swarupaya Shiva, Nada Brahma Swarupaya Namah. Damaru Nada se Srijan hua, Laya aur Taal ka Sangam hua.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to Shiva, the form of Nataraja and the embodiment of Nada Brahma (the Cosmic Sound). From the sound of the Damaru, creation emerged, a confluence of rhythm (Laya) and tempo (Taal).

Transliteration
Sapta Swar ke adbhut sangam, Gandharvon ka divya manthan. Shruti, Laya aur Raag ka gyan, Sangit Shastra ka divya vidhan.
Meaning / Translation
The wondrous confluence of the seven musical notes, the divine churning of the celestial Gandharvas. The profound knowledge of microtones (Shruti), rhythm (Laya), and melody (Raag), the divine laws of the Science of Music.

हे सरस्वती! हमें स्वर ज्ञान दो, गन्धर्व संगीत का वरदान दो। हृदय में गूँजे दिव्य नाद, मिटे अज्ञान का सारा अंधकार॥
Transliteration
He Saraswati! Humein swar gyan do, Gandharva sangeet ka vardaan do. Hriday mein goonje divya naad, mite agyan ka saara andhkaar.
Meaning / Translation
O Goddess Saraswati! Grant us the wisdom of the notes, grant us the boon of Gandharva music. May the divine sound resonate within our hearts, and may all the darkness of ignorance be destroyed.
