जय जय गणराज देवा, विघ्न विनाशक नाम। प्रथम पूज्य तुम सबके, सिद्धि सदन सुखधाम॥

शक्ति रूप पार्वती ने, उबटन से रूप सँवारा। द्वारपाल बन जाओ बालक, यह माँ ने था पुकारा॥
Transliteration
Shakti Roop Parvati ne, ubtan se roop sanwara. Dwarpaal ban jao baalak, yeh Maa ne tha pukara.
Meaning / Translation
Goddess Parvati, the embodiment of Shakti, shaped your form from sandalwood paste. She called upon you, child, to become the guardian of her door.

आए शिव जब द्वार पे, हुआ भीषण संग्राम। क्रोधित होकर महादेव ने, किया मस्तक का संहार॥
Transliteration
Aaye Shiva jab dwar pe, hua bheeshan sangraam. Krodhit hokar Mahadev ne, kiya mastak ka sanhaar.
Meaning / Translation
When Lord Shiva arrived at the door, a fierce battle took place. In great anger, Mahadev severed the head.

गजमुख का वरदान मिला, नया जीवन पाया। देवों ने मिलकर, गणेश नाम दिलाया॥
Transliteration
Gajmukh ka vardaan mila, naya jeevan paaya. Devon ne milkar, Ganesh naam dilaya.
Meaning / Translation
You received the boon of the elephant face and attained new life. All the gods together bestowed upon you the name 'Ganesh'.

Riddhi Siddhi ke daata tum, Vighnaharta kehlāte. Jo bhi sumiran kare tumhara, mangal phal vo paate.
