जय गंगे जय गंगे माते, परम पावनी मुक्ति दात्री। भक्तों के दु:ख हरने वाली, जग जननी शुभ्र मति दात्री।
Transliteration
Jai Gange Jai Gange Maate, Param Pavani Mukti Daatri. Bhakton ke dukh harne waali, Jag Janani Shubhra Mati Daatri.
Meaning / Translation
Victory to Mother Ganga, the most pure one, the giver of liberation. The one who removes the sorrows of devotees, the mother of the universe, the giver of pure intellect.

शिव की जटाओं में वास तुम्हारा, भागीरथ की तपस्या का फल। स्वर्ग से धरा पर अवतरित होकर, किया जगत का मंगल कल।
Transliteration
Shiv ki jataon mein vaas tumhara, Bhagirath ki tapasya ka phal. Swarg se dhara par avatarit hokar, kiya jagat ka mangal kal.
Meaning / Translation
You reside in the matted hair of Lord Shiva, the fruit of King Bhagirath's intense penance. Having descended from the heavens to the Earth, you brought auspiciousness to the entire world.

पाप कटाति तव दर्शन मात्रे, भव बाधा संताप विनाशिनी। गंगा स्नान से मुक्त हों आत्मा, तुम हो मोक्ष प्रदायिनी।
Transliteration
Paap kataati tava darshan maatre, Bhava baadha santaap vinaashini. Ganga snaan se mukt hon aatma, Tum ho moksha pradaayini.
Meaning / Translation
Sins are destroyed just by your sight; you are the destroyer of the sufferings of worldly existence. Through the bath in the Ganga, the soul is liberated; you are the bestower of salvation.

गंगा दशहरा के पावन अवसर, चरणों में तेरे शीश नवाते। कृपा दृष्टि बनाए रखना माँ, हम तेरी महिमा गाते।

Ganga Dussehra ke paavan avsar, charnon mein tere sheesh navaate. Kripa drishti banaaye rakhna Maa, hum teri mahima gaate.
