Jaya Jaya Gange, Jaya Jaya Gange, Shiva ki jata se nikli Ganga. Swarg lok se dharti aayi, jan-jan ki tum kasht mitaati.

Transliteration
Bhagirath ki kathin tapasya, rang laayi jab tum aayi. Veg tumhara bhaari tha, Shiva ne jata mein thaam li.

The intense penance of Bhagiratha bore fruit when you arrived. Your flow was mighty and heavy, so Lord Shiva caught you within his matted hair.
