बाल समय रवि भक्षि लियो तब तीनहुँ लोक भयो अंधियारो। ताहि सों त्रास भयो जग को यह संकट काहु सों जात न टारो॥ को नहीं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥
Transliteration
bāla samaya ravi bhakṣi liyo taba tīnahuṃ loka bhayo andhiyāro। tāhi soṃ trāsa bhayo jaga ko yaha saṃkaṭ kāhu soṃ jāta na ṭāro॥ ko nahīṃ jānata hai jaga meṃ kapi saṃkaṭamocana nāma tihāro॥
Meaning / Translation
In childhood, You swallowed the sun, causing darkness in the three worlds. The whole world was terrified, and no one could remove this crisis. Who in the world does not know Your name, O Monkey, the remover of crises?

bāli kī trāsa kapīsa basai giri jāta mahāprabhu pantha nihāro। chauṃki mahāmuni sāpa diyo taba cāhiye kauna vicāra vicāro॥ ko nahīṃ jānata hai jaga meṃ kapi saṃkaṭamocana nāma tihāro॥
Meaning / Translation
Sugriva, the king of monkeys, lived on the mountain in fear of Bali, watching for the Great Lord's path. The great sage cursed him in anger — who could deliberate on what should be done? Who in the world does not know Your name, O Monkey, the remover of crises?

का द्विज रूप लिवाय महाप्रभु सो तुम दास के सोक निवारो। को नहीं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥
Transliteration
kā dvija rūpa livāya mahāprabhu so tuma dāsa ke soka nivāro। ko nahīṃ jānata hai jaga meṃ kapi saṃkaṭamocana nāma tihāro॥

Taking the form of a Brahmin, You brought the Great Lord (Rama) and removed the sorrow of Your servant (Sugriva). Who in the world does not know Your name, O Monkey, the remover of crises?

rāvaṇa trāsa daī saba ko taba rākṣasa saba kiyo vicāro। taba tuma baṭu rūpa dhari mahāprabhu so jānakī soṃ prāna ubāro॥ ko nahīṃ jānata hai jaga meṃ kapi saṃkaṭamocana nāma tihāro॥

Ravana gave terror to all; then all demons deliberated. Then You took the form of a young boy (Batuka), O Great Lord, and saved Sita's life. Who in the world does not know Your name, O Monkey, the remover of crises?

लंका जारि असुर संहारे सियाराम जी के काज संवारे। लक्ष्मण मुर्छित पड़े सकारे आनि संजीवन प्रान उबारे॥ को नहीं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥

laṅkā jāri asura saṃhāre siyārāma jī ke kāja saṃvāre। lakṣmaṇa murchita paḍe sakāre āni saṃjīvana prāna ubāre॥ ko nahīṃ jānata hai jaga meṃ kapi saṃkaṭamocana nāma tihāro॥
Meaning / Translation
You burned Lanka, slew the demons, and accomplished the tasks of Sita and Rama. When Lakshmana lay unconscious, You brought the Sanjivani herb and revived his life. Who in the world does not know Your name, O Monkey, the remover of crises?

rāvaṇa yuddha mahā bhārī taba mahā rākṣasa saba hī hāre। taba tuma lai āye sājana soṃ prabhu ke kāja nivāre॥ ko nahīṃ jānata hai jaga meṃ kapi saṃkaṭamocana nāma tihāro॥
