Transliteration

Karpoora-Gauram Karuna-Avataaram Samsara-Saaram Bhujagendra-Haaram। Sada-Vasantam Hridayaravinde Bhavam Bhavani-Sahitam Namami॥

Meaning / Translation

He who is white as camphor, the incarnation of compassion, the essence of worldly existence, who wears the king of serpents as a garland. I bow to Shiva and Shakti (Bhavani) who forever reside in the lotus of my heart.

Transliteration

Jata-tavi-galaj-jala-pravaha-pavita-sthale, gale-avalambya lambitam bhujanga-tunga-malikam। Damad-damad-damad-daman-ninadavad-damarvayam, chakara chanda-tandavam tanotu nah shivah॥

Meaning / Translation

With his neck purified by the flow of water from the forest of his matted hair, and a long garland of serpents hanging from his neck; he who plays the Damaru drum with a rhythmic sound and performs the fierce Tandava dance, may Lord Shiva bless us.

Transliteration

Sheesh par chandra sohe, jata mein Ganga ki dhara, Trinetra dhari Mahakaal, karte asuron ka sanhaar। Neelkanth vish ko peekar, srishti ki raksha ki, Devon ke dev Mahadev, mahima amit ananya ki॥

Meaning / Translation

The moon adorns His head, and the stream of Ganga flows from His matted hair. The Three-eyed Mahakaal, who destroys all demons. The Blue-throated One, who drank the poison to protect creation. The God of all Gods, Mahadev, whose glory is infinite and incomparable.

Transliteration

Om Namah Shivaya। Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushti-Vardhanam। Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat॥

Meaning / Translation

Salutations to Shiva. We worship the Three-eyed One, who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. Just as a ripe cucumber is freed from its vine, may He liberate us from death for the sake of immortality.
