कर्पूरगौरं करुणावतारं संसारसारं भुजगेन्द्रहारम्। सदा वसन्तं हृदयारविन्दे भवं भवानीसहितं नमामि॥

Transliteration

Karpura-gauram Karuna-avataram Samsara-saram Bhujagendra-haram | Sada Vasantam Hridayaravinde Bhavam Bhavani-sahitam Namami ||

Meaning / Translation

I bow to Lord Shiva, who is as white as camphor, the incarnation of compassion, the essence of worldly existence, and who wears the king of serpents as a garland. May He, along with Goddess Bhavani (Parvati), always reside in the lotus of my heart.

Shiva Panchakshara Stotram (The Five-Syllable Hymn)

नागेन्द्रहाराय त्रिलोचनाय भस्मांगरागाय महेश्वराय। नित्याय शुद्धाय दिगम्बराय तस्मै नकाराय नम: शिवाय॥

Transliteration

Nagendra-haraya Trilochanaya Bhasmanga-ragaya Maheshvaraya | Nityaya Shuddhaya Digambaraya Tasmai Nakaraya Namah Shivaya ||

Meaning / Translation

To Him who has the king of snakes as His garland, who has three eyes, whose body is smeared with sacred ash, and who is the great Lord. To the eternal, pure, and sky-clad one, I bow to the syllable 'Na' of the sacred 'Namah Shivaya'.

Meaning / Translation

Glory to Shiva, the embodiment of Om! The creator Brahma, the preserver Vishnu, and the destroyer Shiva, alongside His half-consort. In the form of Om, He has decorated/sustained the three worlds. Whether He appears with one, four, or five faces, or seated upon a swan or an elephant, He shines in His magnificent glory.
