माँ कूष्माण्डा देवी दुर्गा का चौथा स्वरूप हैं। उन्होंने अपनी मंद मुस्कान से ब्रह्मांड की रचना की थी, इसीलिए उन्हें 'कूष्माण्डा' कहा जाता है। वे सूर्य के मध्य में निवास करती हैं और उनके तेज से ही सृष्टि का अस्तित्व है। उनकी पूजा से आयु, यश, बल और स्वास्थ्य की प्राप्ति होती है।
Transliteration
Maa Kushmanda Devi Durga ka chautha swaroop hain. Unhone apni mand muskan se brahmand ki rachna ki thi, isiliye unhe 'Kushmanda' kaha jata hai. Ve surya ke madhya mein nivas karti hain aur unke tej se hi srishti ka astitva hai. Unki pooja se aayu, yash, bal aur swasthya ki prapti hoti hai.
Meaning / Translation
Maa Kushmanda is the fourth form of Goddess Durga. She created the universe with her gentle smile, which is why she is called 'Kushmanda'. She resides in the core of the Sun, and the existence of the universe is due to her radiance. Worshiping her grants long life, fame, strength, and health.

जय कूष्माण्डा माता, मैया जय कूष्माण्डा माता। मंद हास्य से ब्रह्मांड रचा, सब जग तुम ही से नाता॥
Transliteration
Jai Kushmanda Mata, Maiya Jai Kushmanda Mata. Mand hasya se brahmand racha, sab jag tum hi se nata.

Victory to Mother Kushmanda, O Mother, victory to Mother Kushmanda! With your gentle smile, you created the entire universe; the whole world is connected to you.

अष्टभुजा में अस्त्र विराजे, कमंडल और धनुष बाण। सिंह सवारी सोहे मैया, भक्तों का करती कल्याण॥
Transliteration
Ashtabhuja mein astra viraje, kamandal aur dhanush baan. Singh sawari sohe Maiya, bhakton ka karti kalyan.
Meaning / Translation
In your eight arms, weapons are adorned, along with a water pot and a bow and arrow. You look magnificent riding a lion, and you bring well-being to your devotees.

सूर्य लोक में वास तुम्हारा, तेज तुम्हारा भारी। अज्ञान का अंधकार मिटाती, जग की पालनहारी॥
Transliteration
Surya lok mein vaas tumhara, tej tumhara bhaari. Agyaan ka andhkaar mitati, jag ki paalan-haari.
Meaning / Translation
You reside in the realm of the Sun, and your radiance is immense. You destroy the darkness of ignorance and act as the nurturer of the world.

आयु, यश, बल, आरोग्य दे, जो भी तेरा ध्यान धरे। कूष्माण्डा की आरती गाकर, भवसागर से पार उतरे॥
Transliteration
Aayu, Yash, Bal, Aarogya de, jo bhi tera dhyan dhare. Kushmanda ki aarti gaakar, bhav-sagar se paar utre.
Meaning / Translation
Grant long life, fame, strength, and health to whoever meditates upon you. By singing the aarti of Kushmanda, one crosses the ocean of worldly existence.
