मात्रास्पर्शास्तु कौन्तेय शीतोष्णसुखदुःखदः
Transliteration
maatraasparshaastu kaunteya sheetoṣṇasukhaduḥkhadāḥ
Meaning / Translation
The contacts of the senses with the sense-objects, O son of Kunti, giving rise to heat and cold, pleasure and pain, which are transitory and ephemeral
Chapter 2, Verse 15

अगमापायिनोऽनित्यास्तांस्तितिक्षस्व भारत
Transliteration
agamaapaayino'nityaastaams titikṣasva bhārata
Meaning / Translation
O scion of Bharata, you must learn to endure them, for they are fleeting and impermanent

यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ

yam hi na vyathayantyete puruṣaṁ puruṣarṣabha

The one who is not disturbed by these (contacts), O best of men
