Transliteration
Namaste stuṭi mahāmāye śrīpīṭhe surapūjite । Śaṅkhacakragadāhaste mahālakṣmi namo'stu te ॥ 1 ॥
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to You, O Great Illusion (Mahamaya), who are worshipped by the gods at the sacred seat (Shripitha). You hold the conch, discus, and mace in Your hands. O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You.

महालक्ष्म्यष्टकं स्तोत्रं यः पठेच्छ्रद्धया नरः । सर्वसिद्धिमवाप्नोति राज्यं भाग्यं च लभते ॥ अष्टकं चैव यः पठेत्प्रातः सायं च यत्नतः । तस्य वै लक्ष्मिरेव स्याद्विष्णोर्भक्तो भविष्यति ॥
Transliteration
Mahālakṣmyaṣṭakaṃ stotraṃ yaḥ paṭhecchradḍhayā naraḥ । Sarvasiddhimavāpnoti rājyaṃ bhāgyaṃ ca labhate ॥ Aṣṭakaṃ caiva yaḥ paṭhetprātaḥ sāyaṃ ca yatnataḥ । Tasya vai lakṣmireva syādviṣṇorbhakto bhaviṣyati ॥
Meaning / Translation
The person who recites this Mahalakshmi Ashtakam with faith attains all accomplishments, gains kingdom (prosperity) and good fortune. One who recites this octet morning and evening with effort — for them Lakshmi Herself resides, and they become a devotee of Vishnu.
