Meaning / Translation
Having cleansed the mirror of my mind with the dust of my Guru's lotus feet, I narrate the pure glory of Lord Rama, which bestows the four fruits of life (Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha). Knowing myself to be ignorant, I meditate upon the Son of the Wind. Grant me strength, wisdom, and knowledge, and remove all my miseries and flaws.

Meaning / Translation
Victory to Hanuman, the ocean of wisdom and virtue. Victory to the Lord of Monkeys, who illuminates the three worlds. You are the messenger of Rama, possessing immeasurable strength. You are known as the son of Anjani and the Son of the Wind. O mighty hero, you are strong as a thunderbolt, remover of evil thoughts and companion of the wise. You are golden-hued, beautifully dressed, with twinkling earrings and curly hair.

In your hands shine the thunderbolt and the flag; a sacred thread of Munja grass adorns your shoulder. You delight in listening to the glories of the Lord, and Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita dwell in your heart.

Meaning / Translation
You appeared before Sita in a tiny form, and in a terrifying form, you burnt Lanka. In a gigantic form, you destroyed the demons and accomplished the tasks of Lord Rama. You brought the Sanjivani herb and revived Lakshmana, which brought great joy to Lord Rama, who embraced you. Lord Rama praised you greatly, calling you as dear to him as his brother Bharata.

Meaning / Translation
The thousand-mouthed serpent sings your glory, so saying, the Lord of Lakshmi (Rama) embraced you. Sages like Sanaka, gods like Brahma, Narada, Saraswati, and even the king of serpents sing of you. Yama, Kubera, and the guardians of the directions, and even poets and scholars, cannot fully describe your greatness. You did a great favor to Sugriva by introducing him to Rama and helping him regain his kingdom.

Meaning / Translation
Your glory prevails through all four ages, and your fame illuminates the whole world. You are the protector of saints and sages, the destroyer of demons, and the beloved of Rama. Mother Sita granted you the power to bestow the eight Siddhis (supernatural powers) and nine Nidhis (treasures). You possess the nectar of Rama's devotion and always remain the servant of Lord Rama.

Meaning / Translation
By chanting your name, one finds Rama and forgets the sorrows of many lifetimes. At the end of life, one goes to the abode of Rama and is known as a devotee of God in every birth.
