Sapindikarana Mantra (The Merging Rite)

ॐ सपिण्डिकरणाय नमः। यत्पितृलोकं गते तत्रैवागत्य सपिण्डिकरं कुरु। पितृलोकं गते पितृणां सपिण्डं भव।
Transliteration
Om Sapindikaranaya Namah. Yat Pitru-lokam gate tatraivagatya sapindikaram kuru. Pitru-lokam gate pitrunam sapindam bhava.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to the rite of Sapindikarana. Having gone to the realm of the ancestors, return there and merge into the Sapinda (the ancestral essence). Having reached the ancestral realm, become one with the ancestors.

Om Idam Pindam Pitrubhyah. Idam Pindam Sapindikaranaya.
Meaning / Translation
This Pinda (sacred rice ball) is for the ancestors. This Pinda is for the performance of the Sapindikarana rite.
