Himalaya ke ghar khushiyan chhayi, Mata Parvati ne tap ki gehrai. Mahadev ko pati banane ko, Shiv ki bhakti mein mann ko lagaya.
Meaning / Translation
Joy spread through the home of the Himalayas, as Mother Parvati performed deep and intense penance. To make Mahadev her husband, she immersed her entire soul in devotion to Shiva.
Stanza 2: The Divine Procession (Baraat)

अद्भुत रूप में आए भोलेनाथ, भस्म और मृगछाला का साथ। भूत-प्रेत और गणों की टोली, नाच रहे सब, खुशियों की होली।
Transliteration
Adbhut roop mein aaye Bholenath, bhasm aur mrigchhala ka saath. Bhoot-pret aur ganon ki toli, naach rahe sab, khushiyon ki holi.
Meaning / Translation
Bholenath arrived in his unique and wondrous form, adorned with sacred ash and deer skin. With a procession of ghosts, spirits, and his Ganas, everyone is dancing in a festival of pure joy.
Stanza 3: The Sacred Union

अग्नि के समक्ष फेरे हुए, शिव-शक्ति का संगम हुए। गंधर्व और देवता आए, मंगल गीत सबने गाए।
Transliteration
Agni ke samaksh phere hue, Shiv-Shakti ka sangam hue. Gandharv aur devta aaye, mangal geet sabne gaaye.
Meaning / Translation
The wedding rounds were completed before the sacred fire, marking the eternal union of Shiva and Shakti. Gandharvas and Devas arrived to witness the event, and everyone sang auspicious songs.
Stanza 4: The Blessing

शिव-पार्वती की जोड़ी महान, भक्तों का करते कल्याण। जो भी गाए शिव विवाह की गाथा, मिट जाए उसके जीवन का दुख-व्यथा।
Transliteration
Shiv-Parvati ki jodi mahaan, bhakton ka karte kalyan. Jo bhi gaaye Shiv vivah ki gaatha, mit jaaye uske jeevan ka dukh-vyatha.
Meaning / Translation
The union of Shiva and Parvati is magnificent, bringing welfare and blessings to all devotees. Whoever sings the sacred tale of Shiva's wedding, all the sorrows and pains of their life shall vanish.
