शुक्ल पक्ष की ज्योति बही, चन्द्रमा की किरण प्यारी। अंधकार मिटे, प्रकाश मिले, देवों की हो महिमा न्यारी॥
Transliteration
Shukla paksha ki jyoti bahi, chandrama ki kiran pyari. Andhkar mite, prakash mile, devon ki ho mahima nyari.
Meaning / Translation
The light of the bright fortnight flows, accompanied by the lovely rays of the moon. May darkness fade and light emerge, as the unique glory of the gods shines forth.

Transliteration
Badhta chandrama, badhta gyan, man mein jage naya vishwas. Shubh karyon ki shubh bela aayi, purna ho sabki aas.

As the moon waxes, so grows wisdom; a new faith awakens within the mind. The auspicious time for holy deeds has arrived, may everyone's hopes be fulfilled.

शांति और सुख का संचार हो, शुक्ल पक्ष का यह पावन काल। प्रभु चरणों में शीश झुकाएं, मिटे हृदय का सारा जाल॥
Transliteration
Shanti aur sukh ka sanchar ho, shukla paksha ka yeh pavan kaal. Prabhu charnon mein sheesh jhukayein, mite hriday ka sara jaal.
Meaning / Translation
May peace and happiness flow during this sacred period of the bright fortnight. We bow our heads at the Lord's feet, may all the delusions of the heart be dissolved.
