हे पतित पाविनी गंगा, देवभूमि की धारा। तेरे पावन जल से महके, यह जग सारा। गंगोत्री के शिखर से उतरी, अमृत की वेला, भक्तों के मन को भाती, तेरी निर्मल रेला।

Transliteration

He patit pavini Ganga, Devbhoomi ki dhaara. Tere paavan jal se mehke, yeh jag saara. Gangotri ke shikhar se utri, amrit ki vela, Bhakton ke man ko bhaati, teri nirmal rela.

Meaning / Translation

O purifying Ganga, the stream of the Land of the Gods. The entire world is fragrant with your holy waters. You descended from the peaks of Gangotri, an era of nectar, Your pure, flowing currents please the hearts of devotees.

केदारनाथ के वासी प्रभु, शिव शंकर अविनाशी, त्रिशूल धारी, डमरू वाले, कैलाश के निवासी। भस्म रमाए, जटा में गंगा, भाल पे चंदा सोहे, तेरी महिमा देख के महादेव, जग सारा मोहे।

Transliteration

Kedarnath ke vaasi Prabhu, Shiv Shankar avinaashi, Trishul dhaari, damru waale, Kailash ke nivaasi. Bhasm ramaaye, jata mein Ganga, bhaal pe chanda sohe, Teri mahima dekh ke Mahadev, jag saara mohe.

Meaning / Translation

O resident of Kedarnath, Lord Shiva, the indestructible, Holder of the trident, wielder of the damru, resident of Kailash. Adorned with ash, with Ganga in your matted hair and the moon on your forehead, O Mahadev, the entire world is enchanted seeing your glory.

बद्री विशाल नारायण, तपस्वी रूप धारी, अलकनंदा के तट पर विराजे, जग के हितकारी। शंख चक्र गदा पद्म धारी, विष्णु परम अनंता, तुझमें ही समाया है प्रभु, ये सारा ब्रह्मांड अंतर्धरा।

Transliteration

Badri vishaal Narayan, tapaswi roop dhaari, Alaknanda ke tat par viraaje, jag ke hitkaari. Shankh chakra gada padma dhaari, Vishnu param ananta, Tujhme hi samaaya hai Prabhu, yeh saara brahmaand antardhara.

Meaning / Translation

The great Badrinath Narayan, possessing the form of a hermit, Residing on the banks of Alaknanda, the benefactor of the world. Holder of the conch, discus, mace, and lotus, Vishnu the infinite, O Lord, this entire universe is contained within You.
