Dhyana Yoga - The Path of Meditation

Original

Transliteration

Man ko vash mein kar jo, sthir ho jaye dhyan mein, Indriyon ko jeet kar, jo leen rahe atma-gyan mein. Chitta ki chanchalta tyage, jo ekagrata ko paye, Wahi shanti ka marg sulabh, Ishwar ke sameep jaye.

Meaning / Translation

One who controls the mind and becomes steady in meditation, conquering the senses to dwell in self-knowledge, abandons the restlessness of the mind to find concentration; such a person finds the easy path to peace and approaches the Divine.

Atma Jnana - The Eternal Soul

Original

Transliteration

Meaning / Translation

Weapons cannot cut it, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, and wind cannot dry it. The soul is indestructible, without birth or death; it is the form of Truth, eternal and enlightened.

Samatvam - The Yoga of Equanimity

Original

Transliteration

Sukh-dukh mein jo rahe saman, karm kare bina phal ki aas, Wahi yoga ka gyata hai, jo man mein rakhe vishwas.

Meaning / Translation

He who remains equal in pleasure and pain, performing actions without expectation of fruits, is the true knower of Yoga who holds faith in his heart. Free from attachment, aversion, delusion, and ego, equanimity is the path and the gateway to supreme peace.

Brahman - Realization of the Supreme

Original

Transliteration

Sarvabhutasthamātmanam, sarvabhūtāni chātmani. Yah pashyati samadhau, so-hamaham na sanshayah.

He who, in the state of Samadhi, sees the Self in all beings and all beings in the Self, truly realizes 'I am That' (Soham) without any doubt.
