ॐ नमः शिवाय, ॐ नमो नारायणाय। अंत समय में सुमिरन करूँ, प्रभु चरणों में ध्यान लगाय॥

Transliteration

Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namo Narayanaya. Ant samay mein sumiran karoon, Prabhu charnon mein dhyaan lagay.

Meaning / Translation

Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namo Narayanaya. In the final moment, I shall remember You; I shall meditate upon Your divine feet.

The Realization of Mortality

जब प्राण वायु मुख से निकले, काल का आगमन निकट हो जाए। छूट रहा है नश्वर तन, माया का बंधन टूट जाए॥

Transliteration

Jab praan vaayu mukh se nikle, kaal ka aagman nikat ho jaaye. Chhoot raha hai nashwar tan, maaya ka bandhan toot jaaye.

Meaning / Translation

As the life-breath exits through the mouth, the arrival of Time (Death) draws near. This perishable body is being released, and the bonds of illusion are breaking apart.

साँसों की डोरी टूट रही है, जीवन की लौ मंद हो रही है। अंधकार के इस क्षण में, केवल तेरी ज्योति दिख रही है॥

Transliteration

Saanson ki dori toot rahi hai, jeevan ki lau mand ho rahi hai. Andhkar ke is kshan mein, keval teri jyoti dikh rahi hai.

Meaning / Translation

The thread of breath is breaking, the flame of life is dimming. In this moment of darkness, only Your divine light is visible to me.

हे महाकाल, हे केशव, अब शरण तुम्हारी पाऊं। मोह-माया के इस जगत से, मुक्त होकर तुझमें समाऊं॥

Transliteration

Hey Mahakaal, Hey Keshav, ab sharan tumhari paoon. Moh-maaya ke is jagat se, mukt hokar tujhmein samaoon.

Meaning / Translation

O Mahakaal (Lord of Time), O Keshav (Vishnu), let me find refuge in You now. From this world of attachment and illusion, let me be liberated and merge into You.

Moksha (Liberation)

प्राण निकले तो शून्य में, शिव या विष्णु का नाम हो। आत्मा मिले परमात्मा से, मोक्ष का परम धाम हो॥

Transliteration

Praan nikle toh shunya mein, Shiv ya Vishnu ka naam ho. Aatma mile Paramatma se, Moksha ka param dhaam ho.

Meaning / Translation

As the breath leaves into the void, let there be the name of Shiva or Vishnu. May the soul meet the Supreme Soul, reaching the ultimate abode of liberation.
