ॐ नमस्ते वायो। त्वमेव प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्मासि। त्वामेव प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्म वदिष्यामि। ऋतं वदिष्यामि। सत्यं वदिष्यामि। तन्मामवतु। तद्वक्तारमवतु। अवतु माम्। अवतु वक्तारम्। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥
Transliteration
Om namaste vayo. Tvameva pratyaksham brahmasi. Tvameva pratyaksham brahma vadishyami. Ritam vadishyami. Satyam vadishyami. Tanmamavatu. Tadvaktaramavatu. Avatu mam. Avatu vaktaram. Om shantih shantih shantih.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to You, O Vayu (Wind God)! You alone are the visibly perceivable Brahman (Supreme Divine). I shall proclaim You as the perceptible Brahman. I shall speak of cosmic divine order (Ritam). I shall speak the ultimate truth (Satyam). May that divine reality protect me. May it protect the speaker. Protect me, protect the preceptor. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.
श्लोक १ (Verse 1 - Healing Nature of the Wind)

वात आ वातु भेषजं शंभु मयोभु नो हृदे। प्र ण आयूंषि तारिषत्॥
Transliteration
Vata a vatu bheshajam shambhu mayobhu no hride. Pra na ayumshi tarishat.
Meaning / Translation
May the wind blow bringing healing balm, soothing and joyful to our hearts. May he prolong our lifespans with vigor and vitality.
श्लोक २ (Verse 2 - Life and Soul of Creation)

उतामृतस्य यन्निधिर्गृहे ते परिवेदिताः। ततो नो धेहि जीवसे॥ वायुर्विश्वस्य कर्ता च पालकः सर्वदेहिनम्। प्राणरूपेण भगवान् जगत् सर्वं बिभर्ति यः॥
Transliteration
Utamritasya yannidhirgrihe te pariveditah. Tato no dhehi jivase. Vayurvishvasya karta cha palakah sarvadehinam. Pranarupena bhagavan jagat sarvam bibharti yah.
Meaning / Translation
In your divine abode lies the treasure of immortality; bestow that nectar upon us so that we may truly live. Lord Vayu is the creator and protector of all embodied beings, sustaining the entire universe in the sacred form of the Vital Breath (Prana).
श्लोक ३ (Verse 3 - Lord of the Cosmic Elements)

त्वं जीवः सर्वभूतानां त्वं प्राणस्त्वमपानकः। त्वया विना जगत् सर्वं क्षणेन विनशिष्यति॥
Transliteration
Tvam jivah sarvabhutanam tvam pranastvamapanakah. Tvaya vina jagat sarvam kshanena vinashishyati.
Meaning / Translation
You are the very life-essence of all living creatures; You are Prana (inhalation) and Apana (exhalation). Without You, this entire cosmos would perish in an instant.
श्लोक ४ (Verse 4 - Praise of Might and Motion)

अनन्तरूपाय नमो गन्धरूपाय ते नमः। सर्वस्पर्शाय देवाय जगत्प्राणाय ते नमः॥
Transliteration
Anantarupaya namo gandharupaya te namah. Sarvasparshaya devaya jagatpranaya te namah.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to You of boundless forms; salutations to You who carry fragrant essences. Reverence to the luminous deity who touches all existence, the breath and soul of the cosmos.
श्लोक ५ (Verse 5 - The Pure Purifier)

पवित्रकर्ता लोकानां पवनः पावनः स्मृतः। त्वं शोधकः समस्तानां पापानां रोगहारकः॥
Transliteration
Pavitrakarta lokanam pavanah pavanah smritah. Tvam shodhakah samastanam papanam rogaharakah.
Meaning / Translation
You are the sanctifier of all the realms, revered as Pavana—the supremely pure one. You purify all defilements and remove diseases and ailments from living beings.
श्लोक ६ (Verse 6 - Gayatri and Final Prayer)

ॐ पवनाय विद्महे वायुदेवाय धीमहि। तन्नो वायुः प्रचोदयात्॥ इति स्तुतो मरुद्देवः प्रसीदतु जगद्गुरुः। आयुरारोग्यमैश्वर्यं ददातु सुखसम्पदम्॥
Transliteration
Om pavanaya vidmahe vayudevaya dhimahi. Tanno vayuh prachodayat. Iti stuto maruddevah prasidatu jagadguruh. Ayurarogyamaishvaryam dadatu sukhasampadam.
Meaning / Translation
Om, let us meditate on the purifying Wind God, Lord Vayu. May Vayu inspire and enlighten our intellect. Thus praised, may the divine Lord of winds, preceptor of the cosmos, be pleased, and bestow upon us long life, radiant health, sovereignty, and abundant peace.
