सत्त्वं रजस्तम इति त्रिविधं प्रकृतिं विदुः। विष्णुं सर्वं जगत् प्रोक्तं प्रकृतेरविनाशीनाम्॥
Transliteration
Sattvam rajastamam iti trividham prakritim viduh. Vishnum sarvam jagat proktam prakriteravinashinam.
Meaning / Translation
Knowing the three modes of nature—Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas—the entire universe is declared to be Vishnu, who remains beyond the destruction of the material modes.

सर्वलोकैकनायकं, सर्वशक्तिमयं परम्। नमामि विष्णुं सर्वव्यापीं, जगत्पालकमुत्तमम्॥
Transliteration
Sarvalokaika-nayakam, sarvashaktimayam param. Namami Vishnum sarvavyapim, jagat-palakam-uttamam.
Meaning / Translation
The sole leader of all worlds, the supreme all-powerful one. I bow to the all-pervading Vishnu, the supreme protector of the universe.

शान्ताकारं भुजगशयनं पद्मनाभं सुरेशं। विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम्॥
Transliteration
Shantakaram bhujagashayanam padmanabham suresham. Vishvadharam gaganasadrisham meghavarnam shubhangam.
Meaning / Translation
He who has a peaceful countenance, who rests on the serpent, from whose navel springs the lotus, the Lord of Devas, the support of the universe, who is as vast as the sky and has a complexion like the clouds.
