Meaning / Translation

I bow to the Infinite (Ananta), the four-armed Lord holding conch, discus, mace, and lotus; whose chest bears the Shrivatsa mark and is adorned with the Kaustubha gem; who wears yellow garments, reclines on the infinite serpent (Ananta Shesha), is Hari, the beloved of Lakshmi, and the Lord of the universe. I bow to the Infinite, who possesses infinite valor, infinite power, bestows infinite wisdom, whose form is the infinite universe. The Infinite existed before Brahma, is the soul of Vishnu, manifests as Rudra, and is the cause of all causes. The Infinite is the inner self of all beings, eternal; the Infinite is the giver of liberation — that Infinite Lord is my refuge.
