Shruti: The Divine Origin

Original

वेदों से जन्मा धर्म का आधार, श्रुति के शब्दों में सत्य का सार। ईश्वरीय ज्ञान की पावन धारा, सनातन धर्म का यही सहारा।

Transliteration

Vedon se janma dharma ka aadhar, Shruti ke shabdon mein satya ka saar. Ishvariya gyan ki paavan dhaara, Sanatan dharma ka yahi sahaara.

Meaning / Translation

The foundation of Dharma is born from the Vedas, the essence of truth resides in the words of Shruti. It is the holy stream of divine knowledge, the support of Sanatan Dharma.

Smriti: The Codification of Sages

स्मृतियों ने दिया विधि का विधान, मनु और याज्ञवल्क्य का महान ज्ञान। धर्मशास्त्रों में नियम समाये, समाज को सही मार्ग दिखाए।

Transliteration

Smritiyon ne diya vidhi ka vidhan, Manu aur Yajnavalkya ka mahaan gyan. Dharmashastron mein niyam samaye, Samaj ko sahi maarg dikhaye.

Meaning / Translation

The Smritis provided the legislative framework, the great wisdom of Manu and Yajnavalkya. Rules are contained within the Dharmashastras, showing the right path to society.

Nibandha and Achara: Interpretation and Custom

टीकाओं और आचारों का मेल, परंपराओं का धर्म के साथ खेल। रीति-रिवाजों ने नियम संवारे, स्थानीय प्रथाओं ने न्याय निखारे।

Transliteration

Teekao aur aacharon ka mel, Paramparaon ka dharma ke saath khel. Reeti-rivajon ne niyam sanware, Sthaniya prathaon ne nyaya nikhare.

Meaning / Translation

A confluence of commentaries and customs, the interplay of traditions with Dharma. Customs refined the rules, and local practices polished the concept of justice.

आधुनिक काल में संहिताबद्ध हुआ, न्याय और विधि का स्वरूप नया हुआ। प्राचीन मूल और आधुनिक विधान, बदलता पर अडिग धर्म का ज्ञान।

Transliteration

Aadhunik kaal mein sanhitabaddh hua, Nyaya aur vidhi ka swaroop naya hua. Prachin mool aur aadhunik vidhan, Badalta par adig dharma ka gyan.

Meaning / Translation

In the modern era, it became codified, taking on a new form of justice and law. Ancient roots and modern legislation, changing yet remaining firm in the essence of Dharma.
