Kartik maas ka punya kaal, Shiv ki bhakti ka adbhut kaal. Purnima ka paavan parv, mitata hai sakal man ka garv.

दीप दान से मिटे अंधकार, गंगा तट पर पावन स्नान। शिव चरणों में अर्पण मन, पावन हो जाए जीवन धन।
Transliteration
Deep daan se mite andhkaar, Ganga tat par paavan snaan. Shiv charnon mein arpan mann, paavan ho jaaye jeevan dhan.
Meaning / Translation
Offering lamps removes darkness, and a holy bath on the banks of the Ganges purifies. By offering the mind at Shiva's feet, the wealth of life becomes sacred.
