कर्पूरगौरं करुणावतारं संसारसारं भुजगेन्द्रहारम्। सदा वसन्तं हृदयारविन्दे भवं भवानीसहितं नमामि॥
Transliteration
Karpooragauram Karunavataram Samsarasaram Bhujagendraharam | Sada Vasantam Hridayaravinde Bhavam Bhavanisahitam Namami ||
Meaning / Translation
White as camphor, the incarnation of compassion, the essence of worldly existence, wearing the king of serpents as a garland. I bow to Shiva and Shakti residing forever in the lotus of my heart.

काशी नगरी अति पावन, शिव शंकर का धाम है। जहाँ मुक्ति का द्वार खुले, बस शिव का ही नाम है॥
Transliteration
Kashi nagari ati pavan, Shiv Shankar ka dhaam hai | Jahan mukti ka dwar khule, bas Shiv ka hi naam hai ||

The city of Kashi is extremely holy, it is the sacred abode of Lord Shiva. It is the place where the gates of liberation open, and only the name of Shiva prevails.
