गंगा तट पर, हर की पौड़ी के पास, घंटियों की ध्वनि, मन में है प्यास। हरिद्वार की पावन वेला, भक्ति का है धाम, ढूंढ रहा है आत्मा, शांति और विश्राम।
Transliteration
Ganga tat par, Har ki Pauri ke paas, Ghantiyon ki dhvani, mann mein hai pyaas. Haridwar ki paavan vela, bhakti ka hai dhaam, Dhoondh raha hai aatma, shaanti aur vishraam.
Meaning / Translation
On the banks of the Ganga, near Har Ki Pauri, Amidst the sound of bells, there is a thirst in the soul. In the holy moment of Haridwar, the abode of devotion, The soul is searching for peace and rest.
The Question (शिष्य का प्रश्न)

शिष्य ने पूछा, "हे ऋषिवर, इस तीर्थ का सार क्या है? इस बहती धारा में, मुक्ति का द्वार क्या है? क्यों पुकारती है ये लहरें, हर क्षण मेरा नाम? क्या यही है जीवन का, अंतिम सत्य और धाम?"
Transliteration
Shishya ne poocha, "He Rishivar, is teerth ka saar kya hai? Is behti dhaara mein, mukti ka dwaar kya hai? Kyun pukaarti hai ye lehrein, har kshan mera naam? Kya yahi hai jeevan ka, antim satya aur dhaam?"
Meaning / Translation
The disciple asked, "O Great Sage, what is the essence of this pilgrimage? In this flowing current, where lies the gate to liberation? Why do these waves call my name every moment? Is this the ultimate truth and destination of life?"
The Answer (ऋषि का उत्तर)

ऋषि बोले, "पुत्र, यह जल नहीं, चेतना का प्रवाह है, स्वयं को जानना ही, ईश्वर की सच्ची राह है। हरिद्वार वह द्वार है, जहाँ अंत ही आरंभ है, माया का त्याग ही, वास्तविक परम सत्य है।"
Transliteration
Rishi bole, "Putra, yeh jal nahi, chetna ka pravaah hai, Swayam ko jaanna hi, Ishwar ki sacchi raah hai. Haridwar woh dwaar hai, jahan ant hi aarambh hai, Maaya ka tyaag hi, vaastavik param satya hai."
Meaning / Translation
The Sage replied, "My son, this is not just water, it is the flow of consciousness, To know oneself is the true path to the Divine. Haridwar is that gateway where the end is actually the beginning, To renounce illusion is the true ultimate reality."

ज्ञान की गंगा बही, मिटा मन का अंधकार, गूँज उठा हृदय में, सत्य का जयकार। हरिद्वार की धूल में, पाया मोक्ष का ज्ञान, धन्य हुआ यह जीवन, धन्य है यह स्थान।
Transliteration
Gyaan ki Ganga bahi, mita mann ka andhkaar, Goonj utha hriday mein, satya ka jaykaar. Haridwar ki dhool mein, paaya moksh ka gyaan, Dhanya hua yeh jeevan, dhanya hai yeh sthaan.
Meaning / Translation
The Ganga of knowledge flowed, and the darkness of the mind vanished, The victory cry of Truth resonated in the heart. In the dust of Haridwar, the wisdom of liberation was found, Blessed is this life, and blessed is this holy place.
