राष्ट्रमाता के चरणों में अर्पित जीवन सारा, अखंड भारत का स्वप्न किया तूने साकार प्यारा। लौह पुरुष वल्लभ भाई, भारत के अभिमान, शत-शत वंदन आपको, हे पौरुष के प्रतिमान॥
Transliteration
Rāṣṭramātā ke caraṇoṁ meṁ arpita jīvana sārā, Akhaṇḍa Bhārata kā svapna kiyā tūne sākāra pyārā. Lauha puruṣa Vallabha Bhāī, Bhārata ke abhimāna, Śata-śata vandana āpako, he pauruṣa ke pratimāna.
Meaning / Translation
You dedicated your entire life at the sacred feet of Mother India, making the cherished dream of an undivided India a reality. O Iron Man Vallabhbhai Patel, the pride of India and an epitome of valor, we bow before you a hundred times.

बारडोली की पावन भूमि पर दिया जो रण-आह्वान, किसानों के हित लड़े, जगाया जन-जन में स्वाभिमान। गांधी जी ने प्रेम से दीन्हा 'सरदार' का नाम, मातृभूमि की सेवा ही था जिनका एक ही काम॥
Transliteration
Bāraḍolī kī pāvana bhūmi para diyā jo raṇa-āhvāna, Kisānoṁ ke hita laṛe, jagāyā jana-jana meṁ svābhimāna. Gāndhī jī ne prema se dīnhā 'Saradāra' kā nāma, Mātṛbhūmi kī sevā hī thā jinakā eka hī kāma.
Meaning / Translation
On the holy soil of Bardoli, you sounded the clarion call of righteous struggle, fought valiantly for the welfare of farmers, and awakened self-respect in the masses. Mahatma Gandhi lovingly bestowed upon you the title of 'Sardar' (Leader), whose sole life mission was the service of the motherland.

सैकड़ों रियासतों का विलय कर दिया एक सूत्र में बांध, भेद-भाव सब मिटा दिए, भारत की गरिमा सांध। असंभव को संभव किया, दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति अपार, एक भारत, श्रेष्ठ भारत का रचा नया संसार॥
Transliteration
Saikaṛoṁ riyāsatoṁ kā vilaya kara diyā eka sūtra meṁ bāndha, Bheda-bhāva saba miṭā die, Bhārata kī garimā sāndha. Asambhava ko sambhava kiyā, dṛḍha icchāśakti apāra, Eka Bhārata, Śreṣṭha Bhārata kā racā nayā saṁsāra.

Unifying hundreds of princely states, you bound them into a single cohesive nation, erasing all divisions and restoring the dignity of India. With your boundless and unyielding willpower, you achieved the impossible, creating the reality of 'One India, Noble India'.

कठिन समय में ढाल बने, वज्र सम संकल्प तुम्हारा, शांति और अनुशासन का जन-गण को दिया सहारा। वाणी में ओज, हृदय में सत्य, कर्म में निष्ठावान, तेरे दृढ़ चरित्र पर करता गर्वित हिंदुस्तान॥
Transliteration
Kaṭhina samaya meṁ ḍhāla bane, vajra sama saṅkalpa tumhārā, Śānti aura anuśāsana kā jana-gaṇa ko diyā sahārā. Vāṇī meṁ oja, hṛdaya meṁ satya, karma meṁ niṣṭhāvāna, Tere dṛḍha caritra para karatā garvita Hindustāna.

You stood as an impenetrable shield in turbulent times, possessing a resolve as firm as a thunderbolt, providing the shelter of peace and discipline to all citizens. With brilliance in speech, truth in your heart, and integrity in your deeds, the entire nation of Hindustan takes immense pride in your steadfast character.

मां भारती के मुकुट मणि, अमर तुम्हारा यशगान, नर्मदा तट पर शोभायमान भव्य एकता की पहचान। कोटि-कोटि भारतवासी करते तुमको नमन, सदा अमर रहेगा सरदार, तेरा पावन स्मरण॥
Transliteration
Māṁ Bhāratī ke mukuṭa maṇi, amara tumhārā yaśagāna, Narmadā taṭa para śobhāyamāna bhavya ekatā kī pahacāna. Koṭi-koṭi Bhāratavāsī karate tumako namana, Sadā amara rahegā Saradāra, terā pāvana smaraṇa.

O crest-jewel of Mother India, your glory will remain eternal; standing majestically on the banks of the Narmada as the grand emblem of national unity. Millions of Indians bow to you in reverence; your sacred memory, O revered Sardar, shall live forever.
