नमामि शम्भुं वडाकुम्नाथं, त्रैलोक्यपालकं शान्तं शिवम। भक्तवत्सलं शिवं च सौम्यं, नमामि सर्वलोकाधिनाथम्॥
Transliteration
Namāmi śambhuṃ vaḍākum nāthaṃ, trailokyapālakaṃ śāntaṃ śivam | Bhaktavatsalaṃ śivaṃ ca saumyaṃ, namāmi sarvalokādhinātham ||
Meaning / Translation
I bow to Shambhu, the Lord of Vadakkumnathan, the peaceful protector of the three worlds. I bow to the gentle Shiva, who is affectionate towards His devotees and the Lord of all worlds.

त्रिशूलधारिणं दिव्यं च, त्रिनेत्रं भूतनाथं शिवम्। वडाकुम्नाथं वन्दे सदा, दुःखनाशनं सुखप्रदं शुभम्॥
Transliteration
Triśūladhāriṇaṃ divyaṃ ca, trinetraṃ bhūtanāthaṃ śivam | Vaḍākum nāthaṃ vande sadā, duḥkhanāśanaṃ sukhapradaṃ śubham ||
Meaning / Translation
I always worship the divine Vadakkumnatha, the holder of the trident, the three-eyed Lord of all beings. He is the destroyer of sorrows and the bestower of happiness and auspiciousness.

शरणागतभक्तवत्सलं, शान्तिदायकं जगत्पतिम्। वडाकुम्नाथं प्रणमामि, सर्वपापप्रणाशिनम्॥
Transliteration
Śaraṇāgatabhaktavatsalaṃ, śāntidāyakaṃ jagatpatim | Vaḍākum nāthaṃ praṇamāmi, sarvapāpapraṇāśinam ||

I bow to Vadakkumnatha, the Lord of the Universe, who is affectionate to those who seek refuge, the giver of peace, and the destroyer of all sins.
