Ganesh Vandana (Invocation of Ganesha)

ॐ गं गणपतये नमः। वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ। निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा॥

Transliteration

Om Gam Ganapataye Namah. Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha. Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarvakaryeshu Sarvada.

Meaning / Translation

Salutations to Lord Ganesha. O Lord with a curved trunk and a massive body, whose brilliance is equal to millions of suns, please make all my endeavors free of obstacles, always.

Vastu Purusha Prarthana (Prayer to the Deity of the House)

ॐ वास्तुपुरुषाय नमः। गृहं शान्तं भवतु, दोषं शान्तं भवतु, सर्व दोष निवारणाय वास्तु पुरुषाय नमः॥

Transliteration

Om Vastu Purushaya Namah. Griham Shantyam Bhavatu, Dosham Shantyam Bhavatu, Sarva Dosha Nivaranaya Vastu Purushaya Namah.

Meaning / Translation

Salutations to the Vastu Purusha (the deity of the dwelling). May this house be peaceful, may all defects be pacified, and may all flaws be removed by the grace of the Vastu Purusha.

Bhumi Devi Prarthana (Prayer to Mother Earth)

ॐ पृथ्वी त्वया धृता लोका देवि त्वं विष्णुना धृता। त्वं च धारयित्री लोका त्वं रक्ष swaha॥ ॐ भूम्यै नमः।

Transliteration

Om Prithvi Tvaya Dhrita Loka Devi Tvam Vishnuna Dhrita. Tvam Cha Dharayitri Loka Tvam Raksha Swaha. Om Bhumyai Namah.

Meaning / Translation

O Earth, you support all the worlds; O Goddess, you are sustained by Vishnu. You are the sustainer of the world, please protect us. Salutations to Mother Earth.

Transliteration

Om Dyauh Shantirantariksham Shantih Prithvi Shantirapah Shantir-oshadhayah Shantih. Vanaspatayah Shantirvishve Devah Shantir-brahma Shantih Sarvam Shantih Shantireva Shantih Sa Ma Shantiredhi.

May there be peace in the heavens, peace in the atmosphere, peace on earth, peace in the waters, peace in the herbs, peace in the plants, peace in the celestial beings, peace in Brahma, peace in everything, peace, peace, and only peace. May that peace come to me.
