शिक्षा कल्पो व्याकरणं निरुक्तं छन्दसि ज्योतिषम् । अङ्गानि वेदस्य षट् तानि वेदाङ्गानि विदुर्बुधाः ॥
Transliteration
śikṣā kalpo vyākaraṇaṃ niruktaṃ chandasi jyotiṣam । aṅgāni vedaṣya ṣaṭ tāni vedāṅgāni vidur budhāḥ ॥
Meaning / Translation
Shiksha (phonetics), Kalpa (ritual), Vyakarana (grammar), Nirukta (etymology), Chandas (meter), and Jyotisha (astronomy) — these six are the limbs of the Veda; the wise know them as the Vedangas.
