I meditate upon the Supreme Lord in the gigantic form of a fish, holding the conch, discus, and mace. He is the savior of the sacred Vedas, radiant with divine light, and untouched by affliction. Situated amidst the cosmic waters of dissolution, of a brilliant golden hue, He is the Lord of the Universe, an ocean of compassion who bestowed His grace upon King Satyavrata.

Salutations to that all-pervading Lord Vishnu who incarnated in the cosmic waters at the time of dissolution, slew the demon Hayagriva, and protected the sacred Vedas. Obeisances unto Bhagavan in the form of Matsya, the remover of all obstacles and protector of creation. May that Lord Janardana, an ocean of mercy who protected King Satyavrata and the assembly of sages by guiding their boat, ever protect us.
