Meaning / Translation
Salutations to Muktinath, the lord of liberation. Salutations to the giver of liberation. O God, you are the remover of all sins and the bestower of complete liberation. This prayer is traditionally recited upon entering the Muktinath temple complex.

Muktanam paramam gatim muktinatham prapadye. Shalagramashilarupam chaturbujam shankhachakram॥
Meaning / Translation
I surrender to Muktinath, the supreme destination of the liberated ones. He who resides in the form of the sacred Shalagrama stone (found abundantly in the Kali Gandaki river at Muktinath), four-armed, holding conch and discus. This verse connects Vishnu's presence at Muktinath with the Shalagrama Shila worship.

Om tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam. Urvarukamiva bandhanan mrityormukshiya mamritat॥
Meaning / Translation
We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva (Tryambaka) who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. May He liberate us from the bondage of death (like a cucumber severed from its vine) and grant us immortality (liberation). Chanted at Muktinath for moksha.

Meaning / Translation
Victory to Lord Muktinath, Victory to Shalagrama. You are the one form of Vishnu and Shiva; grant us your vision in your abode. O Giver of Liberation, cut the bonds of worldly existence and remove all suffering. This is our prayer: we bow our heads at your feet. A common Hindi prayer sung by pilgrims at the temple.
