गृह त्याग कर, माया तज कर, वन पथ पर मैं चलूँ। सांसारिक मोह के बंधन तोड़, आत्म सत्य को मैं पाऊँ।
Transliteration
Griha tyaag kar, maaya taj kar, van path par main chaloon. Saansarik moh ke bandhan tod, aatma satya ko main paaon.

Leaving my home, renouncing all illusions, I walk the forest path. Breaking the bonds of worldly attachment, I seek to realize the truth of the Soul.

कुंज वन की शांति में, तेरा ही ध्यान धरूँ। वृक्षों की शीतल छाया में, निज स्वरूप को पहचानूँ।

Kunja van ki shaanti mein, tera hi dhyaan dharoon. Vrikshon ki sheetal chaaya mein, nij swaroop ko pehchaanoon.

In the silence of the forest groves, I meditate upon You alone. In the cool shade of the trees, I recognize my own true essence.

He Parameshwar, he Anant Aatma, tu hi mera aadhaar. Van ki is tapasya mein, kar do beda paar.

मोह से मुक्ति, ज्ञान का प्रकाश, चरणों में स्थान मिले। वानप्रस्थ की इस साधना से, परम पद की प्राप्ति हो।

Moh se mukti, gyaan ka prakaash, charnon mein sthaan mile. Vanaprastha ki is saadhana se, param pad ki praapti ho.
Meaning / Translation
Liberation from delusion, the light of knowledge, and a place at Your feet. Through this spiritual practice of Vanaprastha, let me attain the Supreme State.
