3. 3Wear clean, preferably traditional, clothing.
4. 4Set up the altar with the deities, lamp, and incense.
5. 5Gather the participants and ensure a comfortable seating arrangement (usually on the floor).

Steps

1. 1Invocation: Begin by lighting the Deepam (lamp) and Agarbatti (incense) to invite auspiciousness.
2. 2Prarthana: Start with a simple prayer or a small Sanskrit shloka to seek permission from the Divine and the gurus.
3. 3Sankalpa: Mentally state your intention for the session (e.g., to serve the Divine, to find peace, or to celebrate a deity).
4. 4Initial Chanting: Begin with slow, meditative chants of 'Om' or a simple mantra to center the group.
5. 5Bhajan/Kirtan Session: Transition into the songs. Start with slower, melodic Bhajans and gradually move toward the more rhythmic, energetic Kirtan.

8. 8Shanti Path: End with a prayer for universal peace (Om Shanti, Shanti, Shantihi).
9. 9Prasad Distribution: Share the sanctified food among all participants.
