The Attahas (Fullara) temple at Labhpur in Birbhum district is one of the classic Shakti Peethas of Bengal, its name 'Attahas' meaning loud laughter — evoking the smile of Sati's lips. The goddess Fullara is worshipped as a broad stone representing the lower lip, set in a tranquil shrine beside a sacred tank and shaded grove. The site is deeply revered by Shakta and Tantric practitioners and swells with devotees during Navratri and the Magha melas.
