Transliteration
Gange cha Yamune chaiva Godavari Sarasvati | Narmade Sindhu Kaveri jalesmin sannidhim kuru ||
Meaning / Translation
O Holy Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Saraswati, Narmada, Sindhu, and Kaveri! Please manifest your presence in this water.

Transliteration
He Patita Pavini Gange, asmaan paatu sarvada | Pitrinam shanti hetu cha, asmaan moksham prayachhatu ||

O Purifier of the fallen, O Ganga, protect us always. For the peace of our ancestors, grant us and the departed soul liberation.

Om mritatmanam Gangam prapadye, mokshaya cha Gangam prapadye | Atma shantim praptum Gangayam visarjayami ||
Meaning / Translation
Om, I surrender to Ganga for the sake of the departed soul, I surrender to Ganga for the sake of liberation. I immerse these ashes in the Ganga so that the soul may attain eternal peace.
