ॐ विष्णुर्विष्णुर्विष्णुः श्रीमद्भगवतो महापुरुषस्य विष्णोराज्ञया प्रवर्तमानस्य अद्य ब्रह्मणो द्वितीये परार्धे श्वेतवाराहकल्पे वैवस्वतमन्वन्तरे अष्टाविंशतितमे कलियुगे कलिप्रथमचरणे जम्बूद्वीपे भरतखण्डे आर्यावर्तैकदेशे... एकादश्याः व्रतस्य संकल्पं अहं करिष्ये।
Transliteration
Om Vishnur Vishnur Vishnuh Shrimadbhagavato Mahapurushasya Vishnor-ajnyaya pravartamanasya adya brahmano dvitīye parārdhe shvetavārahakalpe vaivasvatamanvantare ashtavimshatitame kaliyuge kali-prathama-charane jambudvipe bharatakhande aryavarta-ekadeshe... ekadashyāh vratasya sankalpam aham karishye.
Meaning / Translation
Om Vishnu, Vishnu, Vishnu. By the command of the Great Lord Vishnu, in the second para of Brahma, in the Shvetavara Kalpa, in the era of Vaivasvata Manu, in the 28th Kali Yuga, in the first stage of Kali, in Jambudvipa, in Bharat Khanda, in Aryavarta... I hereby take the solemn vow to observe this Ekadashi fast.

शान्ताकारं भुजगशयनं पद्मनाभं सुरेशं, विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम्। लक्ष्मीकान्तं कमलनयनं योगिभिर्ध्यानगम्यं, वन्दे विष्णुं भवभयहरं सर्वलोकैकनाथम्॥
Transliteration
Shantakaram bhujagashayanam padmanabham suresham, vishvadharam gagana-sadrusham meghavarnam shubhangam. Lakshmi-kantam kamala-nayanam yogibhirdhyana-gamyam, vande vishnum bhava-bhaya-haram sarva-lokaika-natham.
Meaning / Translation
I bow to Lord Vishnu, who has a peaceful countenance, who rests on a serpent, who has a lotus emerging from His navel, who is the Lord of Gods, who is the support of the universe, who is as vast as the sky, who is dark as a cloud, whose limbs are auspicious, who is the beloved of Lakshmi, whose eyes are like lotuses, who is reached by yogis through meditation, and who removes the fear of worldly existence and is the Lord of all worlds.

Transliteration
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya. Om Shri Vishnave Namah. Ekadashyah vrata phala praptyartham Shri Vishnu priyatam.
Meaning / Translation
Salutations to the Lord who dwells in all. Salutations to the glorious Lord Vishnu. May Lord Vishnu be pleased so that I may receive the fruits of this Ekadashi fast.

Transliteration
Om Narayanaya Vidmahe Vasudevaya Dhimahi Tanno Vishnuh Prachodayat.
Meaning / Translation
Om, let us meditate on Narayana, the all-pervading Lord. May that Vasudeva illuminate our intellect and guide us on the right path.

एकादशी व्रतम् यः कुर्वीत स सर्वपाप विनाशकम्। पुण्य फल प्राप्तुं च स नित्यं विष्णुं स्मरेत्॥
Transliteration
Ekadashi vratam yah kurveet sa sarva-papa vinashakam. Punya phala praptum cha sa nityam vishnum smaret.
Meaning / Translation
Whoever observes the Ekadashi fast destroys all their sins. To attain the fruits of merit, one should constantly remember Lord Vishnu.
