Navkar Mantra (The Supreme Prayer)

णमो अरिहंताणं, णमो सिद्धाणं, णमो आयरियाणं, णमो उवज्झायाणं, णमो लोए सव्व साहूणं।
Transliteration
Namo Arihantanam, Namo Siddhanam, Namo Ayariyanam, Namo Uvajjhayanam, Namo Loe Savva Sahunam.
Meaning / Translation
I bow to the Arihants (the conquerors of inner enemies), I bow to the Siddhas (the liberated souls), I bow to the Acharyas (the spiritual leaders), I bow to the Upadhyayas (the teachers), I bow to all the Sadhus (the monks) in the universe.

महावीर तुम ज्ञान के सागर, अहिंसा के तुम हो अवतार। समता का मार्ग दिखाया, मिटाया जग का सब अंधकार। त्याग और तप की मूरत हो तुम, करुणा के सच्चे स्वरूप हो तुम।
Transliteration
Mahavira tum gyan ke sagar, Ahimsa ke tum ho avatar. Samta ka marg dikhaya, Mitaya jag ka sab andhkar. Tyag aur tap ki murat ho tum, Karuna ke sacche swaroop ho tum.
Meaning / Translation
O Mahavira, you are the ocean of supreme knowledge, You are the embodiment of non-violence (Ahimsa). You showed us the path of equanimity, And removed all the darkness from the world. You are the idol of renunciation and penance, You are the true essence of compassion.

सब जीवो पर दया करें हम, अहिंसा का पथ अपनाएं हम। महावीर के चरणों में रहकर, सत्य और संयम को पाएं हम।
Transliteration
Sab jeevo par daya karein hum, Ahimsa ka path apnayein hum. Mahavira ke charnon mein rehkar, Satya aur sanyam ko paayein hum.

May we show compassion to all living beings, May we adopt the path of non-violence. By staying at the feet of Mahavira, May we attain truth and self-control.
