Verse 1

Original

श्री रामचंद्र कृपालु भजुमन हरण भवभयदारुणं। नीलमेघश्यामं रमेशं सीतापतिं सुंदरं पातुम्हारदा।

Transliteration

Shrii Raamachandra kripaalu bhajumana harana bhavabhaya daarunam. Niilameghashyaama raamesha sitaapatiim sundaraM paatuMhaara da.

Meaning / Translation

I meditate on Lord Rama, who is compassionate, and who removes the fears of the cycle of birth and death. He is as blue as the clouds, and is the consort of Sita, and is very beautiful.

Verse 2

Original

विष्णु विष्णु विष्णु ध्याये वासुदेवं जगत्पते। विष्णोर्नामसहस्रेण पुनर्जन्म न विद्यते।

Transliteration

Vishn'u vishn'u vishn'u dhyaye vaasudevaM jagatpate. Vishnor naama sahasreNa punarjanma na vidyate.

Meaning / Translation

I meditate on Lord Vishnu, the lord of the universe. By chanting the thousand names of Lord Vishnu, one can attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

श्री गणेशाय नमः शिवाय नमः शिवाय नमो नमः। गंगाधराय नमः शिवाय नमः शिवाय नमो नमः।

Transliteration

Shrii ganeshay namah shivaya namah shivaya namo namah. Gangadharaya namah shivaya namah shivaya namo namah.

Meaning / Translation

I bow to Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, and Lord Shiva. I also bow to Lord Shiva, who is the consort of Ganga, and to Lord Shiva again and again.

देवी देवी जagan्माता दुर्गे दुर्गे रक्षिणी। त्वं हि सर्वेश्वरी देवी त्वं हि सर्वेश्वरी।

Transliteration

Devi devi jagannmaata durge durye rakshini. TvaM hi sarveshvari devi tvaM hi sarveshvari.

Meaning / Translation

O Mother of the universe, O Durga, you are the protector. You are the supreme goddess, and you are the goddess of all.
