परिचय
The Bargabhima (Bhimakali) temple at Tamluk in Purba Medinipur stands in one of the oldest port cities of eastern India, the ancient Tamralipta. The presiding goddess, worshipped as Kapalini or Bhimarupa, is a fierce protective form of the Divine Mother. The temple's architecture reflects the classic Bengal style, and it has been a centre of Shakta devotion for many centuries, especially thronged during Kali Puja and Navratri.
